Ant Cohen is a nationally recognised leader in security influence, culture and trust, and the Founder and Chair of Project Placed.
Ant’s career spans critical infrastructure, aviation, tourism, hospitality and telecommunications. Before moving into security, he led prominent marketing, sponsorship and customer-experience programs for some of Australia’s best-known brands, including Qantas.
As Head of Security Influence and Trust at nbn®, Ant uses behavioural insight and human-centred communication to help people and organisations understand security, change behaviour and build lasting security cultures. He is also Co-Chair of the nbn Pride Committee.
Ant’s leadership and innovation have been recognised with the 2024 Edison Award for ScamFit, the 2023 Australian Women in Security Award for Best Industry Initiative Supporting Diversity and Inclusion, and the 2021 Most Outstanding Start Up – Sydney award from Business NSW. In 2022, he was named a Finalist for NSW Local Hero in the Australian of the Year Awards.
Ant also serves on the Crime Stoppers NSW Cyber Security Advisory Committee, the AFL Fans Association Board and the Australian Information Security Association’s Pride in Security Committee. He also supports initiatives encouraging young people to pursue careers in STEM and cybersecurity.
Across his professional and community roles, Ant leads with empathy, clarity and a commitment to creating safer, more inclusive and better-connected communities.
